- Incident Response : pager duty incident response documentation. This is a very thorough and well documented process for handling incident, before during and after their occurrence. Probably not one size fit all by can be easily adapted to an company needs.
- Plain English legal guide on how to start a business : nice guide of the legal aspect of how to start a startup and the various options and pitfall associated with it. A little bit too US centric for my taste but still has some good insights.
- 33C3 :Chaos Computer Congress videos are now available. Chris Hager gave a great overview of the different talks. As always a lot of diversity and challenging presentations.
A blog about life, Engineering, Business, Research, and everything else (especially everything else)

Links of the day 24 - 07 - 2014
Today : Web Business Models, Management, HP universal memory to rule them all ( my precious ...) and network reliability.
- Web and Mobile Business models :List of Internet - Web business models. It give a very good and quick view of the different business model in the start-up web-sphere. Note here is the original list from AVC
- How to Ruin Your Company with One Bad Process : how forgetting personal interest and company politics can ruin a perfect plan.
- Iris Decentralized Cloud Messaging : a reasonable compromise between the decentralized nature of the brokerless systems and the minimal-configuration and management of the brokered ones. Iris lends itself to building large-scale systems the way we conceptualize and reason about them—by using services as the building blocks, not instances.
- The Network is Reliable - An informal survey of real-world communications failures : Very good list and examples of real world network failure but no surprise the if you want a reliable network or tolerate partition you have to invest the effort , time and money to make it so.. Not magic there.. And even so you are not protected from murphy's law.
- The End of a Necessary Evil: Collapsing the Memory Hierarchy : HP's CTO post/ talk on their big push toward Universal memory, kind of like one memory to rules them all and in HP bind them.
